Eric Rutin discusses running, life and other semi-important things

Knoxville doesn’t like Eric Rutin

December 1, 2011

Last night I wrote my blog Welcome to Knoxville Eric Rutin and well this morning I have realized there is nothing welcoming about Knoxville to me.  Sure I have an awesome new job, I won the casino night at the Pyxl holiday party, but it is 28 degrees out?  WTF?  Yesterday was supposed to be the cold day and today was supposed to be a nice warmer day.  I didn’t have to go into the office until 10 so I was planning on a nice long run in nice temps. 52 would have been perfect.  Not frickin freezing sub-freezing weather.  I woke up, got all bundled up, pulled my tights up high and tucked them into my shorts, stepped out into the morning air and then quickly retreated back to my hotel room.  28 degree!  That is -2 in Celsius. It should at least have had a nice fluffy snow falling, then I would have run. Yea yea yea, I am a wimp.

By the way, this morning was 29 degrees below the optimal temperature for eating halavah according to Siri.
